Clear seeing can't reveal it,

Obscurations don’t hide it,

D e s i r e c a n 't w a n t it,

It c a n n o t be achieved,

Avoidance can't avoid it,

Approaching can't get close,

Acceptance can't receive it,

Resistance can't refuse,

F i r e c a n 't b u r n it,

W a t e r c a n 't w e t it,

F o o l s n e v e r l o s e it,

T h e w i s e d o n 't g e t it,

It doesn't come or go,

And neither does it stay,

Thought is not a way of knowing,

And there is no other way.
